Day 02 | KOLKATTA | Breakfast at hotel. Later leave on tour of Kolkatta to visit Belur Math; Dakshineshwar Noon – visit Victoria memorial [closed on Monday & National Holiday] , Indian Museum [closed on Monday & National Holiday], Howrah Bridge over the river Hooglhly. Day 03 | KOLKATTA to SUNDERBAN visit National Park |
Breakfast at hotel Later leave by road for Gotkhali (95 kms – 2 hrs) On reaching Gotkhali board the motor boat. After briefing and interpretation by our local guide cum naturalist over Tea/Coffee/Welcome drink, cruise through Hogol, Gomor, Durgaduani and Gumdi rivers to the Sudhanyakhali watch tower through creeks and canals. Day 04 | SUNDERBAN visit National Park | Breakfast at hotel Sunderbans is a very famous wildlife sanctuary of our country. It is the habitat of the Royal Bengal Tiger and owing to this fact; it is also referred to as Sunderbans tiger reserve. In the Calcutta Sunderbans national park, you can find the estuarine crocodile, wild boar and several varieties of birds and snakes. It is located on the south of Kolkata, India and stretches till Bangladesh. Also, Sunderbans is the largest delta of the world formed by the unification of three rivers-the Ganga, Brahmaputra and Meghna. Today go on a full day game cruise to Netidhobani Watch Tower in the core area of the Tiger reserve. Hot and freshly cooked lunch will be served on board. Back to camp in the afternoon. Evening Local Cultural show by the villagers (Dukhe Yatra-a spectacular one hour show including folk songs and dances. Day 05 | SUNDERBAN to KOLKATTA | After breakfast experience the villege walk and to be followed by adventure cruise by manually oared country boat and cruise to Dobanki to experience the Canopy Walk in the Tower. Day 06 | KOLKATTA to BISHNUPUR (150 kms – 4 hrs) |
After breakfast, leave for Bishnupur On reaching Bishnupur transfer to hotel. Later leave on tour - Bishnupur is very well known for its terracotta temples. Some of the temples you must visit in Bishnupur are the Shyam Ray Temple, the twin shrines of Jorbangla, the Radhey Shyam Temple, the Sarbamangala and Chinnamasta . The Rass Mancha, built like a step-pyramid, is Bishnupur’s most famous temple dedicated to Vishnu. Another attraction in Bishnupur is the embellished Dol Madol cannon, constructed in 1742 by Raja Gopal Singh to keep the Maratha troops at bay. Day 07 | BISHNUPUR to SHANTINIKETAN (130 kms – 3 hrs) |
After breakfast, leave for Shantiniketan En-route visit Joydev & Kenduli. Proceed to Shantiniketan On reaching check in to Hotel. Santiniketan was founded by Noble Laureate - Shri Rabindra Nath Tagore in 1901. Later, visit Vishwa Bharati University, Museum & Kalabavan. Also visit Shantal tribal village to get experience of Musical performance & Shantal dance. You can also enjoy Dance performance & Baul songs (Bengal singer Balad) at the town of Baul. Day 08 | SHANTINIKETAN to MALDA (240 kms – 6 hrs) |
After breakfast, leave for Malda On reaching Malda transfer to Hotel. Malda is a town that is situated in the Malda district of the state of West Bengal. The town is also known as English Bazaar. The place was established as a municipality during the 19h century and there are a few historical places that can be seen in the town. The main historical site in the town of Malda is the Jama Majid that was built during the year 1566. The Nimsari Tower is also a popular place in Malda.
