Day 1              La Paz

Welcome to Bolivia!

Pick up from the airport and / or hotel accompanied by a representative and transfer to the hotel and / or airport.

Check in (15.00 hrs) and rest.

Overnight in La Paz.

 

Day 2              La Paz

Breakfast at the hotel.

08: 00hrs Pick up from the hotel to start the excursion to the Tiwanaku Archaeological Complex, former pre-Inca archaeological city located 72 km from the city of La Paz, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. We will visit the Ceramic Museum, important temples such as the Pyramid of Akapana, the Semi-Subterranean Temple, the Kalasasaya Temple along with the famous Puerta del Sol and the Ponce Monolith. Return to the hotel.

Lunch NOT included.

15: 00hrs Pick up from the hotel to start the excursion to the Valley of the Moon that is located 10 km. From the city center of La Paz, named after Neil Armstrong who was the first man to walk the moon in 1969, are curious clay formations that were created by the erosion of the winds and heavy rains. Then, we will transfer by cable car where we can enjoy a beautiful panorama of the city of La Paz. Afterwards we will visit the historical center of the city of La Paz where we will be able to observe the Market of the Witches (we will understand the mystical aspects of the rituals and the Andean thought), Church of San Francisco, Plaza Murillo, Executive Palace, Legislative Palace and Cathedral Metropolitan Finally, we will visit Killi Killi Viewpoint. Return to the hotel.

Day 3              La Paz – Copacabana – Isla del Sol – Copacabana  

Breakfast at the hotel.

Pick up from the hotel in La Paz and transfer to Copacabana (3810 masl), lasting approximately 3½ hours. En route we will cross by motorboat the Strait of Tiquina (20 minutes), which is the narrowest part of the lake dividing Lake Minor (Wiñaymarka) from Lake Maggiore (Chucuito). Arrival in Copacabana Lunch    in the   Restaurant hotel then transfer to the port for a quick boat trip (45 minutes) to the Isla del Sol where we will visit the Inca Garden, the Sacred Fountain of the Incas, Pilcokaina Palace and the Yumani Stairways.Then, return by speed boat to Copacabana (45 minutes) and transfer to the hotel.

Day 4              Copacabana – La Paz

Breakfast at hotel. Later we visit the Church of Copacabana and the Local Market.

In afternoon, drive to the city of La Paz and transfer to the hotel.

Day 5              La Paz – fly – Uyuni

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport to board the flight to the city of Uyuni.

Transfer from the airport to start the tour. Visit to the train cemetery (old steam locomotives that were used as transport of minerals), we will continue the journey towards the town of Colchani, where we observe the processing of salt (drying, grinding and bagging of salt) will also have the opportunity To make purchases of handicrafts made from salt. Then we can appreciate the mounds of salt (first stage of salt drying), water eyes (groundwater that flow to the surface) and salt hotel (Salt Museum) built with salt. Lunch in the center of Salar. We continue with Incahuasi Island (rocky island in the middle of the salt where we will observe the giant cactus, some of them with more than 100 years old, from the top we can observe the salar in its entirety) and then visit the town of Coquesa where we will visit Its famous mummies (dating back to 700 AD and preserving almost intact part of the skin, hair and nails), stroll along the viewpoint of Tunupa volcano where we can observe the flamingos in the bofedales. Return to Uyuni and transfer to hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Day 6              Uyuni – fly – La Paz

Breakfast. Transfer from the hotel to the airport to board the flight to the city of La Paz. Arrive and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day free for personal activities.

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to airport.
